Luis Fonseca and Derem Turner pleaded not guilty to attempted murder in Teesside Crown Court following a shooting in Hartlepool on January 2nd.
Fonseca, who is twenty, and Turner, nineteen, pleaded not guilty. The charges relate to a shooting that allegedly happened in Hartlepool on Thursday, January 2nd. A man got seriously hurt, suffering gunshot wounds, police said.
Police put up a cordon on Garside Drive in Hartlepool and conducted an investigation. This was to understand what had happened that day.
Fonseca also faces six other charges, all of which he denied while wearing a grey tracksuit in court. The charges relate to several incidents. He’s accused of stealing a bike last year on December 24th. He is also charged with having a machete in Hartlepool on the same date.
Fonseca faces counts of ammunition possession without a permit on January 2nd. He also allegedly possessed a firearm while prohibited that day.
Two further charges relate to drugs. He is accused of intending to supply crack cocaine and intending to supply cocaine, both incidents allegedly occurring on January 2nd.
Judge Timothy Stead decided Fonseca and Turner will stay in custody. Their trial is scheduled for June 9th, and both men are held until then.
