Galway: Weather experts say the Bank Holiday weekend will be mild, with some wind. It’s a nice change from last weekend’s chaos.

This weekend will feel much calmer. Temperatures will be warmer than the last few days. Some places hit -4 degrees Celsius recently, but normal temps are returning.

Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather mentioned that it will cool down later Thursday night. Expect some ice as rain and clouds clear.

Nick Finnis from Netweather shared thoughts on mid-February weather models. He noted that both models suggest a possible cold snap, but it’s still uncertain.

Met Eireann has shared the forecast. Friday will be dry with a mix of clouds and sun. Expect temperatures between 7 to 10 degrees with light winds.

Friday night will bring clouds and light rain in the west. Temperatures will drop to 1 to 5 degrees, milder on the west coast.

On Saturday, it will be breezy and dull with light rain mainly in the west and south. Heavier rain will arrive in the evening, with highs of 8 to 12 degrees.

Saturday night will be wet with heavy rain at times. Winds will ease overnight, and temperatures will be between 4 to 7 degrees.

Sunday morning will start wet in the east, but rain will clear, leaving a dry afternoon. Expect highs of 8 to 10 degrees with light winds.

Sunday night will be dry with clear skies, but clouds will move in later. Temperatures will drop to 1 to 5 degrees.

Monday will be breezy with scattered showers at first. Rain will move into western areas by afternoon, with highs of 8 to 11 degrees.
