Galway: A big storm is brewing over the Atlantic. Weather experts say it’s coming this Friday. They’re calling it the Pest from the West. Sounds intense, right?

Winds are expected to be super strong, reaching up to 250 mph. That’s wild! Met Eireann warns of heavy rain and very unsettled conditions. So, it’s going to be a rough ride.

BBC Weather mentioned that the jet stream is really powerful next week. It could cause some quick flights between the US and UK. But for us, it means stormy weather.

Independent forecasters are saying Friday will be particularly stormy. The jet stream is strengthening, which means a low-pressure system is heading our way. Keep an eye on the updates!

Nick Finnis from Netweather shared a weather map. He said it’s looking quite windy for Friday. Another forecaster noted winds could exceed 80 mph off the southwest coast of Ireland.

As for the week ahead, Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain, especially in the south. Temperatures will be around 7 to 10 degrees. Not too bad, but chilly at night.

Tuesday looks similar, with more clouds and some light drizzle. A few bright spots might pop up, but it’ll still be cold. So, bundle up if you’re heading out!
