Adam had a tough start in life. He was born with a hole in his heart. Over the years, his health got worse, leading to heart failure. He also faced kidney issues.
In early December, Adam was taken to James Cook Hospital. He had a collapsed lung and pneumonia. Sadly, he passed away on December 16. Doctors had warned the family years ago that he might not live long.
There were talks about a heart transplant, but his condition was too complicated. Adam leaves behind his partner, Michaela, and their seven kids. They are Riley, Ella, Josie, Valentina, Reggie, Delilah, and baby Violet.
Rachel shared how much Michaela is struggling without Adam. He was a lively character, always the loud one with a heart of gold. Everyone loved him, and now many are heartbroken.
Rachel is trying to support Michaela and the kids during this tough time. She’s still in shock and can’t go back to work yet. Spending time with the family helps her cope.
Rachel and Adam’s dad, Michael, are devastated, along with Adam’s siblings. Michaela’s parents, Val and Bill, are also heartbroken. They treated Adam like their own son.
Michaela comes from a traveler family, and they wanted a big traditional funeral for Adam. They honored him beautifully, and it was a lovely send-off.
