Hey, guess what I just read? They approved plans for a tattoo place. It’s going behind this old pub in Lazenby. The pub used to be called the Nags Head.

They’re turning a storage building into the studio. Downstairs, they’ll have an office. Upstairs is where the tattoos will happen. Redcar and Cleveland Council said it’s okay and approved the change of use.

The plan says parking won’t change. Customers get two spaces. Two people will work there. They’ll be open 9 to 5, seven days a week, but by appointment only, not walk-ins.

The owners live nearby, in a flat. One works for the NHS. The other does tattoos. This helps them work and live there and fixes up the vacant building.

The tattoo studio gets its own door. They will replace old windows with new UPVC ones, so things should look a bit nicer.

A local councillor mentioned it and likes fixing up old places. He wondered about enough parking spots, and people worried about pub parking before.

The pub closed back in 2014. Plans for a community center failed. Parking was a big problem then, and they worried about road safety too.

The office and tattoo studio shouldn’t bring much traffic. A report said tattoos take a while, so not many people will come and go.

They think two spaces are enough and the plan follows local rules. They believe everything will be just fine.
