Students write on school issues, art, sports, and more. Enhanced with games now, fostering talks and journalism skills.
The latest Griffin Magazine is now available. Students write about school issues and start important talks, practicing journalism. You can find it around the school, even at reception. This magazine is a main project by the Student Leadership Team.
The latest issue has many different articles, covering leadership, football’s impact, and sports injuries. Banksy’s art, fashion, and Taylor Swift are also featured. Students from all grades contribute to the magazine, which keeps the content interesting for everyone.
Emma and Ruby are the magazine’s leaders. They discussed their role within the Leadership Team. Students apply to the Team and share ideas, hoping to help improve the school environment.
Emma leads the creative arts and is editor; she guides the magazine’s content choices. The team meets each week to plan the magazine, aiming for content for everyone, according to Ruby.
Students in all grades read it during tutor time. They added games to make the magazine more fun. The team is thinking of future magazine themes, considering “Dream Big” and the school’s history.
Emma and Ruby are exploring other journalism chances. They will attend a conference and work with a publication. They value the teamwork and leadership skills they gained.
They enjoy working with people to create The Griffin, an experience that teaches them valuable lessons. They encourage others to join the Leadership Team.
