Carlow: Storm Eowyn is on its way to Ireland, and it’s not looking good. Weather experts are warning us about some seriously dangerous conditions ahead.

Met Éireann has put out a weather warning. Some meteorologists think it might be worse than we initially thought. They’ve identified the areas that could be hit the hardest.

Latest maps show that the southwest and west of Ireland will bear the brunt of the storm. Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather shared his thoughts, calling it a “very serious” storm.

He mentioned that the latest models show a dangerous storm arriving on Friday. We can expect damaging gusts across the country, especially in the southwest and west.

O’Reilly also shared some wild charts from the weather models, hoping for some downgrades before Friday hits. The storm has led to a weather advisory for Ireland.

The advisory states that a deep low-pressure system, Storm Éowyn, is set to track across Ireland. Strong to gale-force winds are expected, along with potential damaging gusts.

We might also see some sleet and snow, particularly in the west and northwest. Heavy rain and high seas are on the way too.

Met Éireann is keeping a close eye on the situation. They’ll issue more warnings as they get a clearer picture of the storm’s path and intensity.

They added that Éowyn is expected to bring strong southeasterly winds that will shift to the west and southwest, intensifying through Friday morning.

So, stay safe and keep an eye on the weather updates!
