Middlesbrough: Steph McGovern had a rough time recently. She took a spill on some ice outside her home and ended up breaking her arm. Ouch!

You might know her from the BBC or her Channel 4 show, Packed Lunch. She’s been a familiar face in the North East. Despite the pandemic, she launched her show during lockdown, which ran for a good while before it ended.

Now, she’s doing great with her podcast, The Rest is Money, and she’s even joining the Netflix series, Celebrity Bear Hunt. It’s hosted by Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby, featuring some big names like Mel B and Una Healy.

But instead of just enjoying her new gig, Steph took to Twitter to share her accident. With her arm in a cast, she thanked the NHS for their help and explained what happened. She said, “I slipped on the ice last Friday, hit the deck and broke my arm.”

She even warned her followers to look away if they were squeamish. Then she showed her X-ray, revealing a serious break. Yikes!

Steph called it “probably the most painful thing” she’s ever felt. But she added a bit of humor, saying it was funny how she faced tougher challenges on Bear Hunt than just stepping outside her door.

She also shared a pic from A&E and joked about how hard it was to pack her new book, Dead Line, with her arm in a sling.
