Hey! Some snow might fall in North Staffordshire today. A freezing wind is blowing through the area. It feels like below 0C in some places. The wind gusts reach around 38 mph.

The Met Office says light snow could fall near Leek, including areas towards Endon. Snow may start around 8 pm tonight. Stoke-on-Trent might see sleet then, too, lasting into the early morning.

This cold stretch could last until February 20. Next week, more snow may fall in North Staffordshire as temperatures stay low. An easterly wind is coming, warns the Met Office, but it won’t be as cold as 2018’s “Beast from the East.”

Friday and the weekend may see some rain, with a chance of sleet or snow, mostly in higher areas. Easterly winds will make it feel colder, and expect variable cloud cover. The northwest UK will be sunniest, while icy patches and frost are possible.

Wintry weather will hit from 8 pm, they predict. The Moorlands may get light snow, and the city could see snow. The temp will be officially 4C, but it will feel like -1C in Leek. Tonight, it may feel like -4C.

Snow may turn to sleet in the Moorlands, lasting until 5 am Saturday. The Potteries will see this until 3 am. Saturday afternoon, expect about 4C, with a chance of mist and light rain. Sunday might reach highs around 7C. Next week looks cold with highs of 4C. Expect lows of 0C then, feeling more like -3C.

The BBC says sleet is possible next Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures may drop below freezing, barely reaching 3C. Thursday, Leek could see snow from 7 pm to midnight. Light snow could fall in the city Wednesday morning. Until February 20, expect highs of 7C in the Potteries, while other areas of North Staffordshire might see 5C.

From February 11 to 20, high pressure may bring cold east winds from Europe. Light rain and hill snow are possible, but dry weather may become likely, with sunshine expected. Some wintry weather remains possible, especially in the south. Temperatures may be below normal, with overnight frost expected. Brisk winds will make it feel colder in the south.

From February 21 to March 7, weather changes are likely, and high pressure might decline, potentially leading to unsettled conditions. Rain or snow is possible for a time, but details are uncertain currently.
