Darlington: Two little kittens were found in a wheelie bin. They were stuck inside a cat carrier, and it’s just heartbreaking. A neighbor heard their meows and went to check it out.

Inside the bin, they found a tabby girl and a black boy with white markings. They looked to be about five or six months old. Thankfully, the kind person took them to a vet nearby.

The RSPCA took over from there. They got the kittens microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms. Now, they’re named Brooke and Sydney. They’re staying at a boarding facility for now.

This all happened on Saturday evening, January 11. The RSPCA is looking for anyone who might know these kittens. It’s so sad to think someone could just leave them like that.

Ruth Thomas-Coxon from the RSPCA said it was lucky someone heard them. She thanked the person who found them and the vets for their help. Brooke and Sydney are friendly and will make great pets for someone special.

If you have any info about this incident, please call the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018 and mention reference number 1426573.
