Stockton: A man is facing serious charges after two women reported being raped on the same night. Haider Ali, 31, is accused of attacking both women within hours.

The first incident happened near a rundown building on Yarm Road. Ali allegedly raped the first woman twice. Later that night, he approached a second woman on Spring Street, asking her for “business.”

The prosecutor, Christine Egerton, explained that the second woman agreed to sex for £20. She wanted payment upfront. But things took a dark turn when Ali began to grab and kiss her.

She was pregnant at the time and tried to call the police during the assault. The jury will hear her 999 call, where she complained about not being paid.

CCTV footage showed Ali running away after the first attack. He had approached the first woman, complimenting her and asking for a cuddle. She found his behavior strange.

Then, he allegedly pushed her down and raped her. Despite his attempts, she begged him to stop, and he eventually ran off.

Ali, who lives on Ayresome Street in Middlesbrough, denies all charges. The trial is still ongoing, and the community is watching closely.
