Galway: Storm Eowyn is about to hit Ireland hard. Met Eireann has issued red weather warnings for several counties. They say dangerous conditions are on the way.

Winds could reach up to 110 mph on Friday. That’s pretty intense! The warnings are in place for many areas, including Galway and Clare.

The red warning for Galway starts at 3 AM and ends at 11 AM on Friday. It’s actually an hour earlier than they first thought. So, it’s good to stay alert!

Met Eireann is keeping everyone updated. They mentioned that the storm is clearing out a bit sooner than expected.

Other counties like Cork, Kerry, and Waterford also have warnings. They’ll be in effect from 2 AM to 10 AM on Friday.

There’s even a tornado risk, but experts say it’s low. Still, it’s something to keep in mind as the storm moves through.

The UK Met Office is also watching this closely. They say Storm Eowyn is undergoing “explosive cyclogenesis.” Sounds dramatic, right?

This means we can expect some really strong winds. All 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland are under a red warning.

They’re calling it one of the worst storms in years. So, it’s best to take precautions and stay safe.

The west coast is likely to feel the worst of it. We’ll keep you posted with live updates as we learn more. Stay tuned!
