Dublin: Ireland is gearing up for a wild ride with Storm Eowyn. This storm is no joke, packing winds up to 130mph. Experts are saying it could be the worst we’ve seen.

Weather models show gusts that are just insane. Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather warns that anyone thinking this is just another storm is in for a shock. The west coast is bracing for the worst.

Barra Best from the BBC also chimed in, saying the west could see gusts between 100-120mph. That’s potentially the strongest winds since Storm Debbie back in 1961, which was deadly.

Speaking of danger, Met Eireann has issued a Red Weather Warning for counties like Clare, Limerick, and Cork. Other areas, including Galway and Mayo, are under an Orange Warning.

They’re not holding back with their warnings. They say we could face life-threatening conditions, travel chaos, and even power outages. It’s serious stuff.

Storm Eowyn is expected to track just off the northwest coast. Gale-force winds will hit land, and we might see some wintry showers as well. It’s going to feel a lot colder than it actually is.

As the storm rolls in, temperatures will drop, and we could see frost overnight. So, if you’re in the area, stay safe and keep an eye on the weather updates.
