Two men received long prison sentences for setting fire to homes in Middlesbrough while people were inside, thankfully no one was hurt
The first fire happened on Cranfield Avenue last May. A car parked in front of a house went up in flames. Luckily, the folks inside were safe.
The next day, they targeted another house on The Greenway. The front door caught fire, but the residents managed to put it out before it spread.
Thanks to a police investigation, both men were arrested. They faced trial and were found guilty of serious charges.
In court, Grange got over seven years in prison, while Costello received nine years. The police are relieved with the sentences.
Detective Constable Itsharm Ramzan said their actions could have led to a tragedy. He hopes this sends a strong message to anyone thinking of doing something similar.
