A prisoner at Holme House is suffering in freezing conditions, stuck in segregation without proper heating or warm clothing
Stockton: A woman is worried about her boyfriend in prison. He’s freezing in segregation at Holme House. She says he has no heating and can’t wear warm clothes.
Natalie Hannan shared that her boyfriend, Amar Magid, is really cold. He’s been crying on the phone to her. He only has a t-shirt and a jacket. His warm clothes are locked away.
Prison officials claim they’re giving out extra blankets. But Natalie says it’s not enough. The heating is broken, and it’s freezing outside.
She’s really concerned. They met on Snapchat 15 months ago. Amar was moved to segregation after a search found drugs in his cell.
She’s been pleading with guards to help him. One guard even noticed how cold it is and gave him another blanket. But it’s still too thin.
Amar was jailed for drug-related charges. He was released earlier this year but was recalled for breaking his license conditions. Now, he’s stuck in a cold cell.
Natalie is worried sick. She just wants him to be warm and safe. It’s tough for both of them during this cold spell.
