Stoke-on-Trent drivers urge action on a pothole-filled roundabout damaging cars. Council promises repairs.
Council members Beardmore and Irving spoke to the city, stating that this busy spot is very unsafe. This is especially risky for drivers because of the road’s condition.
They posted on Facebook about the bad potholes which grew worse over time and are dangerous, especially when it’s dark. They asked for quick and lasting repairs, as many use it daily.
The council replied with good news: Pothole Pro will fix it around late February, and they will do a temporary fix before then.
The schedule allows time for road work. A developer is building homes on Anchor Road now. A big gas holder used to be near the road since 1955.
They decided it was not needed in 2019, taking four months to take it apart. Now, a car dealership sits in its place.
This roundabout is the latest pothole issue. Recently, they patched A53 potholes in Milton, Baddeley Green, and Stockton Brook where drivers had to swerve around those holes.
