The search for a missing Galway woman ended sadly as her family thanks everyone involved in the search efforts
Galway: The search for a missing woman has come to a heartbreaking end. Bernadette Donoghue’s body was found after days of searching. She had been missing since January 17th.
Emergency services and volunteers worked tirelessly to find her. They searched Inis Oírr and the beautiful Connemara coast. It was a tough time for her family and friends.
On January 20th, Bernadette’s family shared the sad news. They thanked everyone who helped in the search. Her daughter, Stephanie, expressed their gratitude on social media.
Stephanie said, “Bernie’s body has been found. RIP. Thanks so much to everyone for all their help and support.” It was a touching moment for the family.
Before the body was found, searches focused on areas near Inverin Airport and Rosaveel. The community really came together during this difficult time.
In other news, Gardaí in Galway are looking into some burglaries that happened over the weekend. A laptop was stolen from a home in the Newcastle area.
Another property nearby was also targeted around the same time. The break-ins occurred between Saturday night and Sunday evening.
