A new social welfare payment offers €1,144 annually for eligible individuals living alone. Check if you qualify and how to apply!
If you’re 66 or older and live by yourself, you can qualify. You need to be receiving certain pensions, like the State Pension or Widow’s Pension.
For those under 66, you can still get this payment if you receive Disability Allowance or Invalidity Pension. It’s a nice boost of €22 a week, adding up to that €1,144 annually.
To get this payment, you must live completely alone, but there are a few exceptions. You can find more details on that.
Applying is simple! Just fill out a Living Alone Increase application form and send it to the right department. Your local Intreo Centre can help you with any questions.
So, if you think you might qualify, don’t hesitate to check it out! It could really help make things a bit easier for you.
